These are really cute little gouramis. Since they don't grow too big (only 2-3"), they are ok for tanks as small as 10 gallons in size.
I do not currently own one, but had one in my old 29gal tank long ago.
Usually only the males are sold, as they have brightly colored blue and red stripes, and the females are just a drab silver to grey shade. They are usually considered fairly peaceful, though you will find the occasional rogue individual that likes to chase around other fish, especially around mating time.
Mating gouramis is very similar to mating bettas. Likewise, they are also labyrinth fish that can breath from the surface, and build bubble-nests in which to care for their young.
